AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY APPROVES NEW UNDERGRADUATE REGISTRATION CHARGES FOR 2026/2027
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has approved new registration charges for undergraduate students, with the revised fees taking effect from the 2026/2027 academic session.
The decision was approved by the University’s Governing Council at its 218th (Special) Meeting held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, following consideration of the resolution of the University Senate at its 565th (Regular) Meeting held on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
NEW REGISTRATION CHARGES FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
According to the university’s Special Bulletin dated Monday, October 5, 2026, the review followed consultations between the university management and various stakeholders within the university community.
The approved charges represent an upward review of undergraduate registration fees for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The amount payable will vary depending on the student’s:
- Faculty
- Programme
- Level of study
- Student category
Different charges apply to Nigerian students, non-Nigerian residents and non-resident international students.
The published schedule also indicates that registration charges for some undergraduate programmes vary considerably across different levels. Programmes under faculties such as Administration, Agriculture and Allied Health Sciences, among others, have different approved registration amounts.
