AKWA IBOM STATE UNIVERSITY (AKSU) ALERTS THE PUBLIC OF ADMISSION FRAUDSTERS
The attention of the Management of Akwa Ibom State University has been drawn to the activities of some unscrupulous individuals who are attempting to defraud unsuspecting members of the public under the guise of offering admission into the University.
For the avoidance of doubt, Akwa Ibom State University has not appointed any agent, consultant, representative or intermediary for the purpose of processing or offering admission to prospective students.
Members of the public are therefore advised to be vigilant and beware of fraudsters who parade themselves, particularly on Facebook and other social media platforms, claiming to have the capacity to secure admission for prospective candidates into the University in exchange for money or other forms of gratification.
The University wishes to state unequivocally that all admission processes are conducted through its officially approved channels and procedures. Prospective candidates are strongly advised to rely only on information released through the University's official communication channels and to avoid making payments to individuals who claim to be acting on behalf of the University without official authorization.
Members of the public are hereby warned to desist from patronising these fraudsters and to exercise extreme caution in dealing with anyone who solicits money or personal information in connection with admission into Akwa Ibom State University.
The University shall not be responsible for any financial loss or other consequences arising from dealings with unauthorized persons.
The general public is urged to treat this notice with the seriousness it deserves and help prevent the activities of these fraudulent individuals.
