Baze University Announces 7th Inaugural Lecture by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abiodun Adeniyi
Baze University, Abuja, has officially announced its 7th Inaugural Lecture, scheduled to be delivered by the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Abiodun Adeniyi.
The university described the event as a major academic milestone that will bring together scholars, students, researchers, media professionals, and members of the public for an intellectual discourse on migration, identity, memory, and digital communication in contemporary society.
The lecture, titled:
“How Your Village Is Following You: Mobility, Memory and the Mediated Persistence of Belonging”
will explore the evolving relationship between human mobility and the role of media in preserving cultural identity, social connection, and a sense of belonging despite geographical separation.
According to the institution, the lecture aims to provide deep insights into how modern communication technologies and media platforms continue to shape personal identity and sustain people’s connection to their roots, communities, and traditions in an increasingly globalized world.
The event will be hosted by the Founder and Chancellor of Baze University, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, PhD, FSAN.
