The Management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) wishes to inform the university community and the general public, particularly candidates who selected the institution as their first choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), regarding the closing dates for the ongoing Post-UTME screening application.
Deadline for Regulated Programmes
Applications for the following regulated programmes will officially close on Friday, 7th August, 2026:
- Law
- Medicine & Surgery
- Nursing
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)
- Medical Laboratory Science
Deadline for Non-Regulated Programmes and Direct Entry
For candidates applying into all other non-regulated programmes as well as Direct Entry (DE) applicants, the application portal will remain open until Sunday, 30th August, 2026.

All prospective candidates who are yet to complete their registration are strongly advised to finalize their applications on the official university portal before the respective deadlines elapse.
