FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, BIDA BAN ON UNAUTHORIZED CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES
The Office of the Director of Security and Related Matters has observed ongoing unauthorized campaign activities within student hostels and across the Polytechnic community. These activities are particularly disruptive as they coincide with the current examination period.
I. PROHIBITION OF CAMPAIGNS
Students are formally notified that the Students' Union Government (SUG) election campaigns have not yet commenced. Consequently:
- All forms of campaign activities are strictly prohibited at this time.
- No aspirant or supporter is permitted to engage in campaigning within or around the Polytechnic premises until an official announcement is made.
- Any individual found violating this directive will face appropriate disciplinary action.
II. MANDATORY STUDENT ADVISORIES
In alignment with this directive, the following measures have been put in place:
- Reporting Violations: Students are advised to record any aspirant conducting open campaigns in the hostels. Video evidence should be forwarded to 08153903905 for action.
- Removal of Posters: All aspirants who have defaced Polytechnic structures with campaign posters are mandated to remove them.
- Deadline for Compliance: All unauthorized posters must be removed on or before 7th May, 2026.
III. CONSEQUENCES OF NON-COMPLIANCE
The Polytechnic management maintains a strict stance on this order. Failure to comply with these directives will attract severe disciplinary measures. All students and aspirants are urged to prioritize their examinations and wait for official electoral timelines.
