The management of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe (FTH Gombe) wishes to inform the general public that applications are now open from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in General Nursing for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• JAMB Score:
  Candidates must have a minimum score of 150 points and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
• Age Requirement:
  Applicants must be 16 years of age or older as at the date of this advert.
• Fitness:
  Candidates must be physically and medically fit to undergo training in the nursing profession.
• O’Level Requirements:
  Applicants must have at least 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in any of the following examinations:
  • SSCE/GCE
  • WAEC
  • NECO
  • NABTEB
  • SAISSCE (NBAIS)
  
  The five credit passes must include the following compulsory subjects:
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

These requirements must be met before an applicant will be considered for admission.

Method of Application

• Availability of Forms:
  The sale of forms begins on Wednesday, 20th August 2025.
• Where to Obtain Forms:
  Candidates can obtain the application forms from either of the following places:
  • The Office of the Registrar, Nursing Sciences (CONS-IHS, FTH Gombe)
  • The Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe official website: www.fthgombe.gov.ng through the College platform.
• Application Fee:
  Each application form costs Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000 only). The payment is to be made via the REMITA platform, and the fee is non-refundable.
• Submission of Forms:
  Completed forms must be submitted with the required documents before the deadline.

Documents Required for Submission

All candidates must submit their completed forms with photocopies of the following documents:

• Two (2) recent passport-sized photographs (must be clear and in color).
• Photocopies of all academic credentials (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/SAISSCE results, etc.).
• Photocopy of the payment receipt and the REMITA receipt used for the form purchase.
• Local Government Area (LGA) Indigene Certificate for verification of origin.
• Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
• JAMB printout including:
  • Original JAMB result slip.
  • Change of institution slip (if applicable).
• SSCE Scratch Cards (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) for result verification.

Incomplete forms or forms submitted without the required documents will not be processed.
