FEDERAL UNIVERSITY DUTSE ANNOUNCES 2026/2027 ADMISSION CUT-OFF MARKS FOR ALL PROGRAMMES

The Federal University Dutse (FUD) has released the approved minimum UTME scores for candidates seeking admission into its undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The newly released cut-off marks cover all faculties and departments across the institution, providing prospective students with a clear guide on the minimum scores required for admission consideration.

According to the university, candidates must meet the specified UTME score for their chosen programme in addition to satisfying all other admission requirements.

MOST COMPETITIVE PROGRAMMES

Among the programmes offered by the university, Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) has the highest cut-off mark of 240, making it the most competitive course for the session.

Other highly competitive programmes include:

  • Nursing Science – 210
  • Public Health – 190
  • Computer Science – 180
  • Cyber Security – 180
  • Software Engineering – 180
  • Information Technology – 180
  • Biochemistry – 180
  • Biotechnology – 180
  • Microbiology – 180

FACULTIES AND CUT-OFF MARKS

Faculty of Agriculture

All programmes in the faculty have a minimum cut-off mark of 150.

Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences

Most programmes require 150, while Criminology and Security Studies as well as Political Science require 160.

Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences

Cut-off marks range from 160 to 210 depending on the programme.

Faculty of Clinical Sciences

Medicine and Surgery requires a minimum UTME score of 240.

Faculty of Computing

All programmes under the faculty require a minimum score of 180.

Faculty of Education

Candidates seeking admission into Education programmes must score at least 150.

Faculty of Management Sciences

Cut-off marks range between 150 and 170, with Business Administration requiring 170 and Accounting requiring 160.

Faculty of Life Sciences

Programmes in this faculty require scores ranging from 150 to 180.

Faculty of Physical Sciences

All courses currently have a minimum admission score of 150.

UNIVERSITY TO INTRODUCE NEW PROGRAMMES

The Registrar of the institution, Alhaji Abubakar Mijinyawa, FCIA, disclosed that the university is currently processing approval for additional academic programmes.

According to him, the proposed programmes are awaiting final approval before being uploaded to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

Once the approval process is completed, detailed admission requirements and application procedures for the new programmes will be announced through the university's official communication channels.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to carefully compare their UTME scores with the approved cut-off marks for their preferred courses.
