FEDERAL UNIVERSITY GUSAU ANNOUNCES 2026/2027 DIPLOMA AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES ADMISSION

The Federal University Gusau, through its Consultancy Services, has announced the commencement of the online sales of application forms for admission into various Diploma and Certificate Programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Interested candidates who meet the specified requirements can now apply for the available programmes through the university's Consultancy Services admission portal.

AVAILABLE DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

The Diploma programmes are designed to run for two years. Available programmes include:

1. Diploma in Accounting
   1. Diploma in Animal Health and Production
   2. Diploma in Arabic
   3. Diploma in Business Administration
   4. Diploma in Computer Science
   5. Diploma in English and Communication
   6. Diploma in English Language Education
   7. Diploma in Guidance & Counselling
   8. Diploma in Hausa Language Education
   9. Diploma in Information Technology
   10. Diploma in Islamic Studies
   11. Diploma in Library and Information Science
   12. Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
   13. Diploma in Political Science
   14. Diploma in Public Administration
   15. Diploma in Security and Intelligence Studies
   16. Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology
   17. Diploma in Social Work
   18. Basic Certificate in Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Management

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

Candidates seeking admission into the listed Diploma programmes are required to possess a minimum of four (4) O'Level credit passes in relevant subjects.

The required credits must include:

• English Language
• Mathematics

Candidates should also meet any additional subject requirements applicable to their chosen programme.

AVAILABLE CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES

The university is also offering the following Certificate programmes:

1. BASIC CERTIFICATE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP & ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT

Applicants are required to possess a Bachelor's degree, HND, NCE, ND or any post-secondary certificate, together with a minimum of three (3) O'Level credit passes.

2. BASIC CERTIFICATE IN ARABIC

Applicants must possess an Islamiyyah School Certificate or demonstrate the ability to read and write Arabic with a level of understanding considered acceptable by the admission panel established by the department.

GUIDE FOR APPLICANTS

Interested candidates are required to complete their application online by following the steps below:

1. Visit the Federal University Gusau Consultancy Services portal:
   https://consult.fugusau.edu.ng
2. Click on “APPLY.”
3. Fill in the application form provided and submit it.
4. Print or copy the generated RRR number for payment.
5. After making payment, click on “VERIFY PAYMENT” on the portal.
6. Enter the RRR number and click on “Verify.”
7. Once the payment has been successfully verified, log into the portal using the RRR as both the username and password to complete the application form.

APPLICATION FEE

All interested applicants are required to visit the application portal to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and make payment of the prescribed application fee.

The application fee is:

₦5,000

The registration, completion and submission of the online application form are to be carried out through the designated portal.
