The attention of the Student Affairs Department has been drawn to a fake memorandum bearing Reference Number FUET/DSA/013 dated 1st October, 2026, currently circulating on social media and student platforms.

The fraudulent notice falsely directs returning students to pay ₦15,000 for course registration, ₦15,000 for departmental clearance, and ₦12,500 for SUG clearance.

The Student Affairs Department hereby states that the memorandum did not emanate from the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs.

The signature on the document is forged, and the University has not and is not intending to approve any of the stated charges or linked course registration to departmental or SUG clearance payments.

Students are strongly advised to disregard the fake notice and avoid making any payment based on its contents.

The University Security Unit has commenced investigation into the matter, and those responsible will face disciplinary and legal actions.

For authentic information, students should rely only on official communications from the University and the Student Affairs Department or call 08063907645.

Thank you!
