FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, AKURE OPENS ADDITIONAL 2026/2027 POST-UTME SCREENING FOR AVAILABLE COURSES
The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced the commencement of an additional online Post-UTME screening exercise for eligible UTME candidates seeking admission into selected available courses and programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
The announcement was issued by the Office of the Registrar. The screening exercise will commence on Thursday, 17th September 2026, and close on Friday, 2nd October 2026.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for the additional screening exercise, candidates must:
- Have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2026 UTME conducted by JAMB.
- Have chosen the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) as their first-choice institution.
- Possess at least five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Obtain the required credits in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or an equivalent examination.
- Ensure that their UTME subject combination matches the requirements of the programme they intend to apply for.
- Be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2026.
- Upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS or have them verified through the JAMB verification portal.
Candidates who fail to upload or verify their O’Level results may be considered ineligible for admission.
SCREENING DATE
The additional Post-UTME screening registration exercise will run as follows:
- Commencement Date: Thursday, 17th September 2026
- Closing Date: Friday, 2nd October 2026
Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated period will not be eligible to participate in the screening exercise.
SCREENING FEE
The screening fee is ₦2,000, payable through the Remita platform at any bank after generating the required payment code.
Candidates who had previously paid and registered for FUTA’s Post-UTME screening exercise are not required to make another payment.
Such candidates only need to update their screening portal to reflect any new course or programme they wish to apply for.
HOW TO APPLY
Eligible candidates are required to:
- Visit the official FUTA website.
- Read the screening information and registration instructions carefully.
- Complete the Post-UTME application form online.
- Make payment through the Remita platform where applicable.
- Submit the completed application.
- Print a copy of the registration form for the screening exercise.

Candidates should ensure that their UTME registration number and full names are entered correctly as they appear on their JAMB slip.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR CANDIDATES
Candidates who have already registered for the FUTA screening exercise but wish to change to any of the listed programmes may update their screening portal without making another payment.
The university also emphasized that any candidate who is not screened will not be considered for admission.
Candidates are therefore advised to complete their registration before the deadline and ensure that their O’Level results are properly uploaded or verified on JAMB CAPS.
