FUNAAB OPENS 2026/2027 POST-UTME SCREENING REGISTRATION FOR UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Admission Screening Exercise for prospective undergraduate students.

The university disclosed that the screening registration exercise is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission into its various degree programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. Interested applicants are advised to carefully follow the registration guidelines and complete their applications within the stipulated period.

WHO CAN APPLY?

According to the university, the following categories of candidates are eligible to participate in the screening exercise:

  • Candidates who selected FUNAAB as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME and scored a minimum of 160 marks.
  • Direct Entry candidates with a minimum of Upper Credit or equivalent qualification who selected FUNAAB as their first-choice institution.
  • Candidates who scored 160 and above in the 2026 UTME but did not initially choose FUNAAB, provided they effect a Change of Institution and make the university their first choice before the close of registration.

The management also emphasized that all applicants must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026.

REGISTRATION FEES

To participate in the screening exercise, candidates are required to make the following payments:

  • Post-UTME Registration Fee – ₦2,000
  • Portal Access Fee – ₦3,000

This brings the total payment to ₦5,000, excluding applicable REMITA service charges.

Payments are to be made online through the official FUNAAB admission portal.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Candidates are required to visit the university's admission portal and complete the registration process online.

The registration process involves:

  • Logging in with a valid UTME Registration Number.
  • Generating an application invoice.
  • Paying the required screening and portal access fees.
  • Completing the online application form.
  • Reviewing all supplied information carefully.
  • Submitting the application.
  • Printing the registration acknowledgement slip.

Applicants are advised to ensure all details provided are accurate and consistent with their official records.

O'LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

FUNAAB accepts O'Level results from:

  • WAEC
  • NECO
  • NABTEB

Candidates are permitted to combine results from a maximum of two sittings.

Applicants must upload their O'Level results correctly on the admission portal, as failure to do so may affect their admission consideration.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES

Direct Entry applicants are required to ensure that their academic transcripts are forwarded to the Office of the Registrar, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

Affected candidates include holders of:

  • OND
  • HND
  • NCE
  • Other approved equivalent qualifications

The deadline for transcript submission is Friday, July 31, 2026.

CANDIDATES WITH WRONG SUBJECT COMBINATIONS ADVISED TO EFFECT CORRECTIONS

The university further advised candidates whose UTME subject combinations do not meet the requirements of their chosen programmes to make the necessary corrections before completing the screening registration.

Applicants are encouraged to verify their course requirements and ensure they meet all admission conditions before proceeding.

SCREENING EXERCISE COMPULSORY FOR ADMISSION

FUNAAB stressed that participation in the online screening exercise is compulsory for all candidates seeking admission into the university.

Failure to register for the screening exercise automatically disqualifies a candidate from admission consideration for the 2026/2027 academic session.
