LASU COMMENCES 2026/2027 POST-UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE
The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Online Admission Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission into the University through UTME (100 Level) and Direct Entry (200 Level).
The online screening exercise is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session.
ELIGIBILITY FOR SCREENING
Candidates who chose Lagos State University as their First Choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195 are eligible to participate in the screening exercise.
Applicants must also be at least 16 years old by 1st October, 2026.
Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) students of LASU who successfully completed their programme and scored at least 195 in the 2026 UTME are also eligible to apply, provided they selected LASU as their first-choice institution.
Direct Entry candidates, including those from the LASU School of Basic and Advanced Studies (JUPEB), who have obtained Direct Entry forms from JAMB and selected LASU as their first-choice institution are equally eligible to participate in the screening exercise.
Candidates of Lagos State origin who have successfully completed the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) process will have their indigeneship claims automatically validated during the screening exercise.

Admission is available into accredited programmes across various faculties and schools, including:
- Arts
- Communication and Media Studies
- Education
- Engineering
- Environmental Sciences
- Law
- Management Sciences
- Science
- Social Sciences
- College of Medicine
- Computing and Information Technology
- School of Agriculture
- School of Library, Archival and Information Science
- School of Transport and Logistics
Candidates are advised to ensure they meet the admission requirements for their chosen courses before applying.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Interested candidates should visit the LASU admission portal:
https://lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening
Applicants are required to:
- Log in using their UTME Registration Number and Surname.
- Pay the prescribed Admission Screening Fee online.
- Complete the online self-screening form.
- Provide accurate personal and academic information.
- Upload the required O'Level details.
- Select their preferred course of study.
- Preview and certify all information before submission.
Candidates may update or correct previously submitted information where necessary, subject to additional payment requirements.
O'LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in subjects relevant to their chosen course of study, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
Candidates applying for Medicine and Dentistry must possess the required credits in only one sitting.
Engineering applicants using two sittings must possess six credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
Candidates seeking admission into Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering must possess a credit pass in Further Mathematics.
All applicants are required to upload their O'Level results on JAMB CAPS before the closure of the screening exercise.
SCREENING METHOD
The screening exercise will be based on a point grading system using:
- UTME Score
- O'Level grades in five relevant subjects
Relevant subject combinations for each programme are contained in the JAMB Brochure and candidates are advised to consult the brochure before completing their screening application.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
- Only candidates who selected LASU as their first-choice institution are eligible.
- The screening exercise will run for twenty-one (21) days.
- Registration opens on Wednesday, 3rd June, 2026.
- Registration closes on Tuesday, 23rd June, 2026, at 12 midnight.
- Any examination result obtained after July 2026 will not be accepted.
Candidates are advised to complete their registration early and ensure all information supplied is accurate, as screening decisions will be based solely on the details provided.
