GATEWAY ICT POLYTECHNIC, SAAPADE REITERATES BAN ON SIGN-OUT ACTIVITIES ON CAMPUS
The management of Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade has once again reminded students that all forms of sign-out activities remain strictly prohibited within the Polytechnic community.
According to the institution, the ban was earlier communicated to students through an official memo issued during the 2024/2025 Academic Session, and the directive remains fully in force.
Students Warned Against Sign-Out Celebrations
The Polytechnic cautioned students against coming to the campus or its surrounding areas with customized T-shirts, markers, or any materials intended for sign-out celebrations.
Management emphasized that sign-out activities are not recognized by the institution and have been classified as an outlawed practice.
Convocation Remains the Only Recognized Graduation Celebration
The Polytechnic stated that the Convocation Ceremony remains the only official and recognized event for celebrating graduation and the completion of academic programmes.
Students are therefore advised to refrain from organizing or participating in any unofficial graduation-related activities on campus.
Strict Disciplinary Measures
The management described the notice as a final warning to all students and stressed that anyone found violating the directive would face disciplinary action.
According to the institution, any student caught engaging in sign-out activities risks losing his or her studentship, subject to the outcome of the Polytechnic's disciplinary process.
Call for Compliance
Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade urged all students to comply fully with the directive and avoid any actions that may attract sanctions.
