KASHIM IBRAHIM UNIVERSITY POST-UTME/DE SCREENING FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION: CUT-OFF MARK, ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION DETAILS
The management of Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU) has announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) online screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the University's undergraduate programmes.
The University invites all eligible candidates who selected Kashim Ibrahim University as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to register for the screening exercise within the approved registration period.
Registration Period
The online Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening registration will run as follows:
- Commencement Date: Monday, 27th July, 2026
- Closing Date: Monday, 31st August, 2026
Eligible candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:
UTME Candidates
Applicants must:
- Have selected Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU) as their preferred institution.
- Score a minimum of 150 in the 2026 UTME.
- Possess at least five (5) relevant O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
In addition to the required five O'Level credit passes, Direct Entry applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 points in IJMB or JUPEB.
- Merit grade in NCE.
- At least Lower Credit in ND or HND.
- A minimum of Second Class Lower Division in a Bachelor's Degree.
Important Instructions for Candidates
The University advised candidates to note the following:
- Candidates who do not meet the admission requirements for their preferred course should complete a Change of Course on the JAMB portal before registering for the screening exercise.
- Applicants should carefully check the KIU Admission Brochure on the screening portal to confirm that their UTME subject combination matches the requirements for their chosen programme.
- Candidates with incorrect subject combinations should immediately change to a suitable programme through JAMB.
Mandatory Upload of O'Level Results
All applicants must upload their O'Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NBAIS, etc.) to the JAMB CAPS Portal.
The University emphasized that candidates who fail to upload their O'Level results to JAMB CAPS will not be considered for admission.
Required Documents
Applicants are expected to upload clear scanned copies of the following documents during registration:
- O'Level Result(s) (Maximum of two sittings)
- A'Level Certificates (where applicable)
- Indigene Certificate
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- Birth Certificate
How to Apply
Eligible candidates should follow the steps below to complete their application:
- Visit the KIU Post-UTME portal at:
https://putme.kiu.edu.ng - Log in using your JAMB Registration Number as both your username and password to verify your pre-loaded JAMB information.
- Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) for payment.
- Pay the non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 using any of the following methods:
- Online with a MasterCard, Visa, or Verve debit card.
- Print the payment slip and make payment at any commercial bank nationwide.
- Return to the portal after payment confirmation.
- Log in and complete the online screening application form.
- Upload all required documents and submit your application.
