KWARA STATE COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCES, OKE-ODE ANNOUNCES COMMUNITY MIDWIFERY ENTRANCE EXAMINATION DATE FOR 2026/2027
The Kwara State College of Nursing Sciences, Oke-Ode (KWCONOO), has announced Wednesday, September 16, 2026, as the date for the entrance examination for applicants seeking admission into its Community Midwifery Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
KWCONOO COMMUNITY MIDWIFERY ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
According to a statement issued by the College’s Chief Press Secretary, AbdulHafeez Oyewole, the College Provost, Alhaji Olanrewaju AbdulQuadri, announced the examination date.
The entrance examination will be a written examination and will commence at 8:00 a.m. prompt.

Venue: IOT, UNILORIN Mini Campus
Date: Wednesday, September 16, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. prompt
The venue currently serves as the temporary premises of the Kwara State College of Nursing Sciences, Oke-Ode.
APPLICANTS ADVISED TO ARRIVE EARLY
The College Provost advised all applicants to make adequate preparations ahead of the examination and arrive at the examination venue early.
Candidates are also expected to conduct themselves responsibly throughout the exercise and comply with all examination instructions.
Applicants have been encouraged to carefully study and understand each question before attempting it, remain calm and give their best during the examination.
WARNING AGAINST EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE
The College has warned applicants against examination malpractice.
The Provost stressed that the College will not tolerate any form of misconduct during the entrance examination and advised candidates to ensure that they follow the rules governing the exercise.
Candidates are therefore advised to avoid any action that could lead to disqualification.
ABOUT THE COMMUNITY MIDWIFERY PROGRAMME
The Community Midwifery Programme is one of the programmes recently approved for commencement at the Kwara State College of Nursing Sciences, Oke-Ode, by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
The approval followed a successful accreditation exercise during which the College satisfied the requirements stipulated by the regulatory body.
The programme will run for two years and is designed to train competent midwives capable of providing essential maternal and newborn healthcare services within communities.
Successful graduates of the programme will be awarded the Licensed Community Midwife (LCM) qualification.
NO JAMB REQUIRED
One of the notable features of the Community Midwifery Programme is that applicants are not required to sit for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.
Candidates with the requisite O’Level science qualifications are eligible to apply, subject to the admission requirements prescribed by the College and the relevant regulatory authorities.
