The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has officially announced the schedule for the 29th and 30th Combined Convocation Ceremonies. This event covers graduands from the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions.

I. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

The ceremonies are scheduled to take place from Wednesday, 12th August to Sunday, 23rd August 2026.

II. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUANDS

To ensure a hitch-free ceremony, all graduands must comply with the following:

  • Financial Obligation: Payment for the convocation package must be made through the official portal: www.lasu.edu.ng/tsa/payment/default.php.
  • Academic Gowns: Gowns must be returned by Friday, 21st August 2026. Late returns will incur a daily fine of ₦1,000.00.
  • Loss of Gown Fees: Replacement costs are ₦36,000.00 for First Degree/Diplomas and ₦45,000.00 for Masters.
  • Clearance: All graduands must complete departmental/faculty clearance prior to the convocation.

III. CEREMONY PROTOCOLS

  • Punctuality: Graduands must join the procession by 9:00 AM. Latecomers will be denied entry to the auditorium.
  • Dress Code: Graduands are required to be properly robed in their respective Faculty Colors.
  • Guest Seating: Parents and guests should be seated no later than 8:30 AM.
  • Photography: Taking photographs inside the auditorium during the ceremony is strictly prohibited.
  • Certificates: Certificates will be available for collection immediately following the ceremony, provided the academic gown has been returned.
