UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA (UNIABUJA) SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT CENTRE (SDC) POSTGRADUATE ADMISSIONS (2026/2027 BATCH A, STREAM 8)

The Sustainable Development Centre (SDC) of the University of Abuja officially invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its various postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 Batch A, Stream 8 academic session.

I. AVAILABLE PROGRAMMES
The centre offers specialized postgraduate training in the following areas:

• Doctorate Degree: Doctor of Sustainable Development.
• *Professional Master’s Degrees (Full-time & Part-time):*
  * Sustainable Development Studies.
  * Climate & Society Studies.
  * Peace & Conflict Studies.
  * Migration Studies.
• *Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD) (Full-time & Part-time):*
  * Sustainable Development Studies.
  * Climate & Society Studies.

  * Migration Studies.

II. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for admission:

• O'Level Requirements: Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings.
• Academic Qualifications:
  * Master's/Doctorate: A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least a Second-Class Honours Lower Division.
  * PGD: Candidates with a Third-Class Degree or *Higher National Diploma (Lower Credit)* from recognized institutions are eligible.
• NYSC: Possession of a discharge certificate or an official exemption letter is mandatory.
• Doctoral Specifics: Applicants for the Doctor of Sustainable Development must hold a Master’s Degree in a relevant field (Science, Social/Management Science, Humanities, Education, or Environmental Science).
