MCPHERSON UNIVERSITY APPOINTS REV. DR. CHARLES FASHOLA AS PRO-CHANCELLOR & CHAIRMAN OF GOVERNING COUNCIL
Rev. Dr. Charles Olagoke Fashola, a distinguished engineer, business leader and pastor with over three decades of professional experience, has been appointed the 4th substantive Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of McPherson University, effective August 1, 2026. He succeeds Rev. Dr. Babatunde Idowu as Chairman of the Governing Council.
Rev. Dr. Fashola is the Managing Director of SEACOF Engineering Services Limited, where he provides strategic leadership and oversees the delivery of innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions. His professional experience spans engineering, strategic management, business leadership and pastoral ministry.
He holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Swiss Business School, Zurich; an MBA and Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from Ahmadu Bello University; and a Bachelor of Theology in Pastoral Studies. He also serves as Pastor-in-Charge and District Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria.
A Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (FNIEEE), Associate of the Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (ANICA), and Fellow of the Institute of Administrators and Researchers of Nigeria (FIARN), Rev. Dr. Fashola brings extensive professional and leadership experience to his new role.
His appointment marks a new chapter in the leadership of McPherson University, as he brings together his wealth of professional expertise, strategic insight and leadership experience to support the continued growth and development of the institution.
