REV. FR. MOSES ORSHIO ADASU UNIVERSITY, MAKURDI RELEASES POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Postgraduate programmes leading to the award of Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees of the Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

Please note that the application portal was opened 7:00am on Monday, 10th August 2026 and would close at 6PM on Friday, 27th November, 2026.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

(1) Applicants must in the first instance, meet the relevant O’Level requirement(s) for an award of a First Degree of the Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University with a Credit in English and Mathematics for Faculty of Sciences, Management and Environmental science.

(2) Candidates for Postgraduate Diploma Programme must possess in addition to (1) above, a HND or a first degree with a minimum of Third-Class from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or any University recognized by the Senate of Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University.

(3) Candidates for Masters Programme must possess in addition to (1) above, a first relevant degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division (CGPA of 2.50) from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or any University recognized by the Senate of Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University.

(4) Candidates for PhD Programme in addition to (1 ) above, must have a good Master’s Degree with a CGPA of not less than (CGPA of 3.50) from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or any University recognized by the Senate of Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University.

GENERAL REGULATIONS

All programmes begin with Course Work and end at Project for Postgraduate Diplomas or Dissertation and Thesis for Masters and PhD degrees respectively. The duration of Degree/Diploma programmes are as follows:

(i) Postgraduate Diploma programmes shall be of one year minimum and two years maximum duration.

(ii) Masters Degree programmes shall normally be of two academic years minimum duration for full-time and maximum duration of three years at point of registration

(iii) Doctorate Degree programmes shall normally be of three academic years minimum duration for full-time and maximum duration of six years at point of registration.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

i) Applications are available only on the online platform. Applicants are to visit the Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University portal https://portal.bsum.edu.ng/login.jsp

ii) The Applicants should click on the application link.

iii) Under the Postgraduate school link, the Applicants should click on the Start Application by entering Name and select the programme of choice and then submit.

iv) Thereafter, an e-payment will be generated with the payment reference number as well as the Application Number.

v) Applicants could either pay online or proceed to the designated Bank (Fidelity) with the printed copy of the e-payment form and pay a non-refundable application fee of N20,000.

vi) After payment, applicants would be expected to re-visit the Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University Portal https://portal.bsum.edu.ng/login.jsp under Application and click on Postgraduate to complete the Application Form. Then upload academic credentials and other relevant documents and submit on-line. Please, print a hard copy of the completed form for reference purposes.

vii) Applicants are to ensure that the on-line reference forms are completed by the three referees.

viii) Please note that applications without relevant documents uploaded will not be considered.

ix) Applicants must request their previous institutions to forward their Academic Transcripts to: The Secretary, Postgraduate School, Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi. (Transcripts to be accompanied with transcript request forms which should be printed on the portal).

Guidelines for filling application forms
Applicants should provide all information sought in the form. Applications with incomplete information shall be treated as void.

Proposed course of study including area of specialization if any should be clearly stated. Applicants should ensure that their official transcripts of academic record are forwarded to the Postgraduate School by their former universities.

Applications without official transcripts of academic record shall not be processed. A candidate can apply for admission to only one Degree/Diploma programme at any given time.
