The Faculty of Environmental Sciences, through the Department of Geography, is pleased to announce the official launch of two new undergraduate degree programmes following approval by the *National Universities Commission (NUC)*.
In a significant expansion of the university's academic offerings, Management has further authorized immediate admissions into these programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
I. NEWLY INTRODUCED PROGRAMMES
The following Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degrees are now available:
- B.Sc. Environmental Management
- B.Sc. Meteorology
II. INTER-DEPARTMENTAL TRANSFER OPPORTUNITY
The Department of Geography is currently inviting interested students who are already enrolled in the university to apply for an Inter-Departmental Transfer into these new programmes at the 100 Level.
This is a unique opportunity for students interested in specializing in weather systems, climate science, or environmental sustainability to pivot their academic focus.
III. APPLICATION PROCESS
Students wishing to initiate a transfer are advised to take the following steps:
- Consultation: Visit the Department of Geography to discuss the requirements for the transfer.
- Guidance: Contact the *Head of Department (HOD), Geography*, for specific guidance on the necessary documentation and eligibility criteria.
- Deadline: Applicants are encouraged to act promptly to ensure their transfer is processed within the current 2025/2026 academic window.
