NELFUND STUDENT LOAN APPLICATION FOR PIONEER STUDENTS
Following successful communication between the University Management and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), we are pleased to inform all cleared Pioneer Students that the application window for the Federal Government’s student loan scheme is now officially open.
*This initiative is part of the national mandate to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder academic excellence, providing support for both institutional costs and daily living.
I. SCOPE OF THE LOAN
The NELFUND facility is structured to provide comprehensive financial coverage in two primary areas:
- School Fees: Direct payment of academic charges as stipulated by the University.
- Upkeep Allowance: Monthly disbursements intended to support students' cost of living throughout the academic session.
II. APPLICATION GUIDELINES & LIMITATIONS
To ensure a successful application and compliance with the fund's regulations, students must adhere to the following:
- Loan Ceiling: Please be informed that you can only apply for a loan amount equal to the specific school fees charged by the University. Excess requests beyond the official fee structure will not be approved.
- Eligibility: This application window is currently open to cleared students who have met the University's initial documentation and admission requirements.
- Official Channel: To protect your personal and financial data, ensure you use the official NELFUND portal only.
III. HOW TO APPLY
Interested and eligible pioneer students should follow the steps below to begin their registration:
- Visit the Portal: Go to the official website at www.nelf.gov.ng.
- Account Creation: Register using your National Identification Number (NIN), BVN, and JAMB registration details.
- Documentation: Complete the on-screen prompts and upload any required university-related clearance documents.
