NIGERIA MARITIME UNIVERSITY, OKERENKOKO RELEASES POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The management of the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU), Okerenkoko, Delta State, has officially commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master's, Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for admission into various postgraduate programmes offered across the Faculty of Transport and the Faculty of Engineering.

Admission Requirements
Applicants seeking admission into any of the postgraduate programmes must satisfy the following requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or its equivalent from the Nigeria Maritime University or any recognized and accredited institution.
- Have a minimum of five (5) O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Present a valid NYSC Discharge Certificate, Exemption Certificate, or Exclusion Letter.
- Ensure referee reports are submitted directly to the Postgraduate School by the nominated referees.
Method of Application
Interested candidates should complete their applications online by following these steps:
- Visit the official application portal at https://eportal.nmu.edu.ng.
- Purchase the postgraduate application form at a non-refundable fee of ₦40,000.
- Carefully complete the online application form.
- Upload scanned copies of the required documents in PDF format.
Required Documents
Applicants are expected to upload:
- Degree Certificate(s)
- O'Level Certificate (WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB)
- NYSC Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion Certificate
- Research Proposal (3–5 pages) for Ph.D. applicants only
Important Information
Candidates are advised to ensure that their official academic transcripts are forwarded directly from their previous institutions to the Postgraduate School, Nigeria Maritime University, under confidential cover.
The university also stated that the names of successful applicants will be published on the official university website after the admission screening process. Admitted candidates will subsequently proceed with registration and payment of prescribed fees.
