PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU APPOINTS DR. ISIAKA TUNJI ADELABU AS SUBSTANTIVE RECTOR OF FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC AYEDE

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Isiaka Tunji Adelabu as the substantive Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State.

The appointment was disclosed by the institution’s Acting Director of the Centre for Information, Communication and Public Relations (CICPR), Mr. Sunday Adepoju, who cited the official announcement issued by the Polytechnic Registrar, Mr. Akinlolu Akinpade.

According to the Registrar, the appointment was approved by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and officially took effect from August 5, 2026.

Before his appointment, Dr. Isiaka Tunji Adelabu served as a Chartered Accountant and Chief Lecturer in the Department of Accountancy at Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State. Over the years, he has built an impressive career in academic administration, serving in several strategic positions, including Head of Department, Dean of School, and Deputy Rector (Administration).

The Polytechnic Management described Dr. Adelabu as an accomplished administrator with extensive academic and leadership experience, expressing confidence that his appointment would contribute significantly to the continued growth, development, and transformation of Federal Polytechnic Ayede.

With this appointment, Dr. Isiaka Tunji Adelabu becomes the second substantive Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, marking another milestone in the institution's history.

The Management, Staff, and Students of the Polytechnic have pledged their full support and cooperation to the new Rector as he assumes office. They expressed optimism that his wealth of experience, commitment to excellence, and visionary leadership would help advance the institution's mission of providing quality technical and vocational education.

The Governing Council, Management, Staff, and Students also congratulated Dr. Adelabu on his appointment and wished him wisdom, strength, good health, and outstanding success as he leads the Polytechnic towards greater achievements.
