In alignment with the approved university primary calendar, the institution is set to reopen its gates following the conclusion of the first-semester break. All stakeholders are expected to adhere strictly to the dates outlined below to ensure a synchronized start to the semester’s intensive academic workload.
REVISED RESUMPTION AND LECTURE TIMELINE
The University Senate has ratified the following schedule for the return of students and the start of instructional duties:
- Official Resumption Date: Friday, 10th April, 2026
Note: All undergraduate and postgraduate students are expected to have returned to their respective halls of residence or off-campus accommodations by this date. - Commencement of Lectures: Monday, 13th April, 2026
Note: Academic staff across all Faculties and Departments are directed to begin full instructional activities, including tutorials and practicals, promptly on Monday morning.
ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTIVES FOR STUDENTS
To maintain the integrity of the second-semester schedule, the following expectations have been established:
- Prompt Return: Students are urged to return to campus promptly. Early resumption is critical for the timely completion of course syllabi and the fulfillment of laboratory requirements.
- Course Registration: The Student Portal will remain open for second-semester course enrollment. Students who have not finalized their registration are advised to do so within the first week of resumption to avoid "Late Registration" penalties.
- Lecture Timetables: Updated lecture and examination timetables will be displayed on departmental notice boards. Students are encouraged to synchronize their personal schedules accordingly.
- Adherence to Regulations: Students are reminded to continue upholding the university’s codes of conduct, including the official dress code and campus security protocols.
