FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, ZARIA (FUEZ) – ORIENTATION AND MATRICULATION 2025/2026
The Management of the Federal University of Education, Zaria (FUEZ), formerly known as FCE Zaria, has officially announced the schedule for the Orientation Programme and Matriculation Ceremony for newly admitted undergraduate students for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
In a notification signed by Muhammad Ibrahim, Committee Secretary (for the Committee Chairman), the university outlined the critical dates, venues, and administrative directives to ensure a successful induction for all fresh scholars.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
The induction process is structured into two mandatory sessions to facilitate the smooth transition of new students into the university community.
1. Orientation Programme
- Date: Tuesday, 14th April, 2026
- Time: 10:00 AM Prompt
- Venue: Dr. A. A. Ladan Hall
The orientation is designed to provide essential information on university regulations, academic expectations, and student support services.
2. Matriculation Ceremony
- Date: Wednesday, 15th April, 2026
- Time: 10:00 AM Prompt
- Venue: Dr. M. I. Maccido Hall
This ceremony marks the formal induction of fresh students into the institution. Attendance is compulsory for the official validation of student status.
ACADEMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTIVES
To ensure the events receive the necessary focus and participation, the following mandates have been issued:
- Suspension of Lectures: No lectures will hold across the university throughout the two days (April 14th and 15th).
- Mobilization of Students: Heads of Departments (HODs) are directed to mobilize all fresh students within their departments to ensure full participation in both events.
- Conduct and Guidance: Faculty Officers must be present at the venues to guide matriculating students and ensure proper conduct during the proceedings.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO FRESH STUDENTS
- Punctuality: All new students are expected to be seated at the designated venues at least 30 minutes before the start time.
- Academic Gowns: Students should contact their respective Faculty Officers for details regarding the payment for, collection, and return of matriculation gowns.
- Compliance: Participation in the matriculation oath is a statutory requirement. Only students who participate and sign the Matriculation Register will be formally recognized by the University Senate.
