The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has announced its 53rd Inaugural Lecture, scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the University's Main Campus.
The University has invited members of the general public, academics, students, researchers and other members of the University Community to attend the lecture.
PROFESSOR DANIEL OMATSOLA TO DELIVER LECTURE
The 53rd Inaugural Lecture will be delivered by Professor Daniel Omatsola, a Professor of Media Arts Criticism at the University of Abuja.
Professor Omatsola will deliver the lecture on the topic:
“SCREENOLOGY SEMIOTICS AND THE DYNAMICS OF TECHNOAESTHETICS COMMUNICATION IN NIGERIAN SCREEN INDUSTRY.”
The lecture is expected to examine the relationship between screen studies, semiotics, technology and aesthetics, with particular attention to communication and developments within Nigeria's screen industry.
