UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA (UNIABUJA) RELEASES 2026/2027 POST-UTME SCREENING REGISTRATION DETAILS
The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has announced the commencement of online registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The screening exercise is open to eligible UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who chose the University of Abuja as their first-choice institution for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to the notice issued by the University, the online registration portal will be open from Wednesday, 12th August 2026, to Wednesday, 26th August 2026.
Candidates are advised to complete their registration within the stipulated period, as only applicants who meet the eligibility requirements and successfully register for the screening exercise will be considered for admission.
UNIABUJA POST-UTME SCREENING ELIGIBILITY
Candidates seeking admission into the University of Abuja are required to meet the following conditions:
- UTME candidates must have obtained a minimum JAMB score of 180.
- Candidates must possess at least five (5) O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings.
- Candidates must have uploaded their O'Level results on the JAMB portal.
- Direct Entry candidates must possess a recognised NCE, IJMB, ND, First Degree or HND qualification.
- Candidates with JUPEB or NABTEB A'Level qualifications are not required to apply under the Direct Entry category.
- All Direct Entry candidates must upload their A'Level results on the JAMB portal and have them verified by their former institutions.
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2026.
- Candidates must ensure that their UTME subject combinations are in line with the subject requirements for the course they intend to study.
The University stated that only candidates who meet the stated eligibility requirements will be considered for the screening exercise.
HOW TO APPLY FOR UNIABUJA POST-UTME SCREENING
Eligible candidates are required to complete their registration online through the University's admission portal.
Interested applicants should follow the steps below:
Step 1
Visit the University of Abuja admission portal:
https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng
Click on "here to apply".
Step 2
Click on the Undergraduate link located on the left panel.
Step 3
Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click on "Get details".
Step 4
Complete the basic information page.
Candidates are advised to provide only a valid phone number and email address before proceeding.
Step 5
Pay the required screening fee of ₦2,000 through the Remita payment platform.
Step 6
On the payment review page, click on "Generate RRR" to proceed to the payment page.
Step 7
Click on "Submit" to be redirected to the Remita payment page.
Step 8
Enter the OTP code sent to your registered phone number and click on "Continue" to complete the payment.
Step 9
After a successful payment, return to the portal and click on "Main Login".
Enter your JAMB Registration Number as your username and your password.
Step 10
Click on "Login to Dashboard" and complete the remaining registration process.
Step 11
Ensure that you print your completed registration form and payment receipt after successfully completing the application.
UNIABUJA POST-UTME REGISTRATION DEADLINE
The online registration exercise will commence on:
Wednesday, 12th August 2026
and close on:
Wednesday, 26th August 2026.
Candidates are strongly advised to complete their applications before the deadline, as late registration may not be entertained.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CANDIDATES
Candidates who wish to change their course are advised to do so through the JAMB portal before registering for the UNIABUJA Post-UTME screening exercise.
Applicants should also ensure that their O'Level results have been properly uploaded to the JAMB portal before completing their screening registration.
Candidates are advised to provide accurate information during registration and keep copies of their payment receipts and completed registration forms for future reference.
