BAYERO UNIVERSITY, KANO (BUK) SUG ISSUES STRICT NOTICE TO STUDENTS OVER DAMAGE TO RENOVATED MALE HOSTELS
The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Bayero University, Kano, through the Office of the Welfare Director, has issued an official notice warning students residing in the newly renovated male hostels against the tampering and destruction of maintenance property.
The directive, signed by Welfare Director Sen. Hamim Mahmud Ahmad on August 10, 2026, specifically targets residents of the Sa'adu Zungur, El-Kanemi, and Idris Garba Halls located at the university's New Site.
According to the statement, reports have reached the union regarding individuals interfering with maintenance property within these facilities. Students have been instructed to desist from such activities immediately and are urged to maintain hostel infrastructure to ensure safety and preserve the living environment.
Recognizing the potential stress during the current examination period, the Welfare Director assured students of the administration's commitment to their well-being. A direct emergency contact line (08144320063) was also made available for students requiring immediate assistance regarding welfare matters.
