UNIVERSITY OF BENIN (UNIBEN) SUG ANNOUNCES PERMANENT SUSPENSION OF FOOTBALL ACTIVITIES IN OPEN SPACES ON CAMPUS
This is to officially notify all students that the University Authority has suspended all football activities in open spaces across campus. This includes popular areas such as the Education Field, Back Gate Field, and other unauthorized open spaces.
The decision was made to ensure proper management of campus facilities and to pave way for better sporting infrastructure.
Alternative Venues Available:
In the meantime, students are advised to make use of the following approved facilities:
- University of Benin Sports Complex
- TETFUND Field, Capitol Area
These venues are open for training, competitions, and recreational football.
Please note that plans are already in place by the School Authority to provide a new standard pitch at Site B for students' use.
We therefore appeal to all students to remain calm and cooperate with this directive. We trust the judgement of the University Management as they work to make modern sports facilities available to us.
