UNIVERSITY OF UYO (UNIUYO) FIXES OCTOBER 21–28 FOR 2025/2026 RETAKE EXAMINATIONS
The University of Uyo (UNIUYO), Akwa Ibom State, has announced the schedule for its 2025/2026 retake examinations.
According to an internal memorandum dated October 15, 2026, issued by the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), the examinations will commence on Wednesday, October 21, and end on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
The memorandum, signed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Iniobong Uko, also outlined the registration period and provided instructions to Heads of Departments regarding the conduct of the examinations.
REGISTRATION AND EXAMINATION DATES
The university has released the following schedule for the retake examinations:
- Registration begins: Friday, October 16, 2026
- Registration deadline: Tuesday, October 20, 2026
- Commencement of examinations: Wednesday, October 21, 2026
- End of examinations: Wednesday, October 28, 2026
Students concerned are advised to complete their registration within the stipulated period and contact their respective departments for further instructions.
INSTRUCTIONS TO HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS
The university management has directed all Heads of Departments to prepare and release examination timetables for the relevant courses immediately.
The directive is intended to give affected students sufficient time to prepare for their examinations.
The memorandum also noted that the results of the previous semester's examinations were yet to be approved by the Senate. Consequently, departments have been instructed to schedule only courses that are eligible for the retake exercise at this stage.
ADVICE TO AFFECTED STUDENTS
Students who intend to participate in the retake examinations are advised to:
- Complete their registration between October 16 and October 20, 2026.
- Contact their respective departments to confirm the courses eligible for retake examinations.
- Obtain their examination timetables as soon as they are released.
- Prepare adequately and comply with all examination guidelines issued by the university.
Students should confirm any additional requirements directly with their departments to avoid missing important information.
