Share

The Management of Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare (ASCOEA), through the Office of the Registrar, has formally announced a final extension for the first-semester registration exercise for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. Following a formal appeal by the Students’ Union Government (SUG) and a thorough review of the current academic climate, the Provost has approved this grace period to ensure no student is disenfranchised.

This directive serves as the ultimate window for all categories of students to regularize their status with the college.

REVISED REGISTRATION TIMELINE

The registration portal and administrative offices will remain open for processing during the following period:

  • Commencement of Extension: Thursday, 2nd April, 2026
  • Final Closing Date: Friday, 10th April, 2026
Note: While the internal circular referenced 2025 in error, the Management clarifies that this applies to the current 2026 calendar year.

CATEGORIES OF AFFECTED STUDENTS

This extension is comprehensive and applies to the following groups without exception:

  1. New Students (Freshmen): Those completing their initial departmental and faculty clearances.
  2. Returning Students: All stalwarts across various levels of study.
  3. NELFUND Beneficiaries: Students under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund scheme.
  4. Scholarship Holders: Students sponsored by state, federal, or private agencies.
  5. Regular/Self-Funded Students: All other categories of learners.

CRITICAL DIRECTIVES FOR COMPLIANCE

To ensure your registration is valid and recognized by the Academic Board, the following steps must be completed:

  • NELFUND Coordination: Beneficiaries of the student loan are specifically directed to liaise with the Designated NELFUND Desk Officer to finalize their documentation and institutional charge processing.
  • Form Submission: Registration is not considered complete until all forms are signed and returned to the appropriate Faculty or Departmental officers.
  • Deadline Rigidity: The Management has issued a stern warning that no student will be attended to after the April 10th closing date. Failure to register within this window may result in the forfeiture of the semester.

MANAGEMENT STATEMENT

The college administration emphasizes that this decision was made with "due consideration of the current situation" and the welfare of the students. All learners are encouraged to utilize this final opportunity to avoid academic disruptions.

CONCLUSION: TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION

All students are urged to prioritize their registration within this one-week window. For further enquiries or technical assistance with the portal, please visit the ICT Center or the Registrar’s Office during official working hours.
