COLLECTION OF ACADEMIC GOWNS FOR THE 2025/2026 MATRICULATION CEREMONY

The Management of the Federal University of Education, Zaria, has issued the following directives to all newly admitted undergraduate students concerning the upcoming 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony. To ensure a seamless and dignified exercise, all matriculants are urged to adhere strictly to the guidelines for the procurement and collection of academic regalia.

I. PAYMENT AND COLLECTION PROCEDURES

To participate in the formal academic procession and the administration of the matriculation oath, students must follow the steps outlined below:

  • Payment Details: A mandatory gown rental fee of ₦2,000 must be paid.
  • Payment Venue: Payments should be made at ZAFEC Microfinance Bank.
  • Collection Point: Upon payment, students are to proceed to the Dean’s Office of their respective faculties to collect their academic gowns. Ensure you present your original bank teller or receipt as proof of payment.

II. PROTOCOL FOR THE MATRICULATION DAY

The university places a high premium on punctuality and the orderliness of the academic procession. Students are advised of the following:

  • Seating Deadline: All matriculating students must be arrived and seated at the designated ceremony venue by 8:30 AM.
  • Entry Restriction: Late arrival may result in exclusion from the academic procession or the formal seating area.
  • Dress Code: The academic gown is a compulsory requirement for entry. It should be worn over a decent formal or traditional outfit.

III. ADMINISTRATIVE ADVISORY

The Committee, through this notice, emphasizes that compliance with these directives is essential for a successful ceremony. Students are encouraged to settle their payments and collect their gowns well in advance to avoid the last-minute rush at the bank and faculty offices.
