4TH MATRICULATION CEREMONY – FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, GIDAN MADI
The Provost, Dr. Malami Usman Muhammad (MICCON, MCSN, MPIN), on behalf of the Management, Academic Board, Staff, and Students of the Federal College of Education, Gidan Madi, Sokoto State, cordially invites the general public to the institution's 4th Matriculation Ceremony.
This landmark event signifies the official induction of the 2025/2026 Academic Session intake. It is a formal rite of passage that transitions our new students into the academic fold, dedicated to the philosophy of "Learning for Self-Reliance."
I. EVENT LOGISTICS AND SCHEDULE
To ensure a structured and dignified celebration, all guests and matriculants are requested to adhere to the following schedule:
- Date: Wednesday, 15th April, 2026
- Time: 10:00 AM Prompt
- Venue: S.L.T.H, College Permanent Site, Gidan Madi, Tangaza Local Government, Sokoto State
II. GUIDELINES FOR MATRICULATING STUDENTS
- Academic Regalia: All fresh students must be dressed in the official college matriculation gowns. Details regarding the collection and return of gowns can be obtained from the Dean of Student Affairs or respective School Officers.
- Punctuality: Matriculants are expected to be arrived and seated at the S.L.T.H by 09:30 AM. This is to ensure the smooth entry of the academic procession and the Provost's party.
- The Matriculation Oath: Taking the oath is a mandatory statutory requirement. Only students who participate in this formal ceremony and sign the Matriculation Register will be recognized as bona fide students of the College.
III. ADVISORY TO GUESTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC
- Parking and Security: Ample parking is provided within the permanent site. We request all visitors to follow the directions of the college security personnel to maintain order.
- Celebrations: While the college encourages parents and well-wishers to celebrate this milestone, we advise that all festivities be conducted with decorum and in a manner that does not disrupt the solemnity of the academic proceedings.
