RESCHEDULING OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES FOR RETURNING PART-TIME STUDENTS

The Management of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has announced a strategic adjustment to the academic schedule for all returning Part-Time students (ND2 to HND3).

This decision is necessitated by the ongoing 2025/2026 First Semester Examinations for ND1 Part-Time students, which are scheduled to run from April 11th to April 18th, 2026. To ensure a focused and conducive environment for the examining cohort, the following measures are now in effect:

I. TRANSITION TO ONLINE LEARNING

To prevent any disruption to the academic calendar while maintaining campus order, the College has implemented a temporary shift in instructional delivery:

Online Transition: All lectures, assignments, and academic consultations for returning Part-Time students (ND2, HND2, and HND3) are moved to available online platforms.
Virtual Engagement: Lecturers are directed to utilize the college’s designated virtual learning channels to continue their syllabus coverage during this period.

II. CAMPUS ACCESS RESTRICTIONS

In order to minimize distractions and manage campus capacity during the ND1 examination window:

Access Policy: No returning Part-Time student is expected to be on campus for any reason until the ND1 examinations are fully concluded.
Duration: This restriction remains in force from Saturday, April 11th through Saturday, April 18th, 2026.
Compliance: Security personnel and departmental officers have been briefed to ensure that the examination zones remain quiet and accessible only to the candidates and authorized personnel.

III. ADVISORY TO LECTURERS AND STUDENTS

All academic staff and returning students are advised to strictly align their activities with this development.

For Students: Ensure you are connected to your departmental online groups and platforms to avoid missing out on virtual lectures or critical updates.
For Staff: Facilitate the transition by providing students with the necessary links and digital materials for their respective courses.

CONCLUSION: MAINTAINING A CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT

These measures are intended to uphold the integrity of the examination process and ensure that our ND1 students can perform under the best possible conditions. The College Management appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the entire Part-Time community in this regard.
