CUSTECH RELEASES APPROVED 2026/2027 ACADEMIC CALENDAR
The Management of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara has officially released the approved Academic Calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session following its approval by the University Senate at its 32nd Meeting held on Tuesday, September 2, 2026.
The calendar outlines important academic activities for both the first and second semesters, including registration periods, orientation, lectures, matriculation, examinations, semester breaks, and SIWES/SWEP.
According to the approved schedule, the 2026/2027 academic session will commence on Monday, September 28, 2026, while academic activities will conclude with the end of the second semester examinations on Saturday, June 19, 2027.
First Semester Schedule
The first semester will run from Monday, September 28, 2026, to Saturday, February 6, 2027, spanning 19 weeks.
Activities scheduled for the commencement of the semester include:
- Online course registration and revalidation
- Screening and documentation of newly admitted students
- Change of programme/inter-departmental transfer
These activities will take place from September 28 to October 9, 2026.
Orientation Programme
Orientation activities have been scheduled as follows:
- General Orientation: Monday, October 12, 2026
- Departmental/Faculty Orientation: Tuesday, October 13 – Saturday, October 17, 2026
Registration Deadline
The University has fixed:
- Normal registration: September 28 – October 31, 2026
- Late registration: November 1 – November 10, 2026
Students who register during the late registration period will pay a late registration fee of ₦10,000.
Matriculation Ceremony
The 2026/2027 Matriculation Ceremony has been scheduled to hold on:
Wednesday, November 11, 2026
Lecture Period
Academic lectures will be conducted in two phases:
- October 13 – December 18, 2026
- January 4 – January 15, 2027
Continuous Assessment
Continuous Assessment (Test Component) will hold from:
Monday, December 14 – Friday, December 18, 2026
Christmas Break
Students will proceed on Christmas break from:
Monday, December 21, 2026 – Saturday, January 2, 2027
Revision and Examinations
- Revision Week: January 18 – January 22, 2027
- First Semester Examinations: January 25 – February 6, 2027
The first semester officially ends on:
Saturday, February 6, 2027
A two-week semester break will follow from:
Monday, February 8 – Friday, February 19, 2027
Second Semester Schedule
The second semester will commence on:
Monday, February 22, 2027
and end on:
Saturday, June 19, 2027
Lecture Period
Lectures will hold in two phases:
- February 22 – April 10, 2027
- April 19 – May 28, 2027
Continuous Assessment
The second semester Continuous Assessment (Test Component) has been scheduled for:

Revision Week
Revision exercises will hold from:
Monday, May 31 – Friday, June 4, 2027
Second Semester Examinations
The examination period is scheduled for:
Monday, June 7 – Saturday, June 19, 2027
The second semester officially ends on:

SIWES/SWEP Programme
Students participating in the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and Students Work Experience Programme (SWEP) will undertake the exercise from:
Monday, June 21 – Friday, September 10, 2027
Senate's Important Decision on Registration
Senate also approved the registration timeline for the session as follows:
- Normal Registration: September 28 – October 31, 2026
- Late Registration: November 1 – November 10, 2026
Students who fail to complete registration before the deadline will be required to pay a late registration fee of ₦10,000.
The University has advised all faculties, departments, units, and students to strictly adhere to the approved academic calendar and registration schedule to ensure a smooth and successful academic session.
