FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (TECHNICAL), ASABA ANNOUNCES 24TH-36TH COMBINED CONVOCATION CEREMONY AND LECTURE

The Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba, under the leadership of the Provost, Dr. James Azuka Olisa, alongside the Governing Council, Management, Academic Board, Congregation, and Students, has officially extended an invitation to the general public for its upcoming Convocation Lecture.

The academic event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM at the School of Science Lecture Hall within the college premises.

The lecture is part of activities commemorating the 24th to 36th Combined Convocation Ceremony, celebrating graduands across multiple academic sessions spanning from the 2013/2014 session through to the 2025/2026 session. Eligible programmes covered in this celebration include NCE Full Time, NCE Regular Part Time, NCE Weekend Part Time, and the Professional Diploma in Education.

Key Highlights and Event Schedule

The combined ceremony features a robust itinerary comprising three main events: a Media Parley, the Commissioning of Projects, and the flagship Convocation Lecture.

The keynote lecture, titled "TVET AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT," will explore the strategic role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in driving socioeconomic progress.

Delivering the lecture is the Guest Speaker, Prof. C.B.N. Ogbogbo (FHSN), Vice Chancellor of Admiralty University of Nigeria, Ibusa.

Dignitaries and Key Functionaries

The event will be held under the distinguished chairmanship of His Royal Majesty, Asagba Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, OON, FNIALS, FICMC, LLD(HC), KSJI, KSG (The Asagba of Asaba).

Special honored guests for the occasion include:

  • Mother of the Day: Chief (Prof) J.E. Anene-Okeakwa, Immediate Past Provost, FCE(T), Asaba.
  • Spiritual Father of the Day: Very Rev. Fr. Peter Mobuogwu, Vicar General, Issele-Uku Catholic Diocese.
