The management of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Screening Exercise.

The extension, approved by the university through the Office of the Registrar, is intended to provide more eligible candidates with additional time to complete their online registration for admission into the institution's undergraduate programmes.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED

According to the official announcement, the online registration for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise has been extended until Friday, 31st July, 2026.

The extension applies to candidates seeking admission into all undergraduate courses and programmes offered by the university.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

The screening exercise is open to:

  • Candidates who selected Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) as their First Choice Institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  • Direct Entry (DE) candidates who chose FUTA as their preferred institution for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Candidates who are yet to complete their registration are encouraged to take advantage of the extension before the portal closes.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO APPLICANTS

Prospective applicants are advised to:

  • Complete their online registration before Friday, 31st July, 2026.
  • Ensure all required information and documents are correctly uploaded.
  • Use accurate personal and academic details that correspond with their JAMB records.

Failure to complete the registration before the new deadline may affect a candidate's eligibility for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
