KWARA STATE UNIVERSITY (KWASU) ANNOUNCES MOHAMMAD HABIBULLAH AS 10TH STUDENTS' UNION PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY

Muhammad Habibullah Gbolahan of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences has emerged as the 10th Student Union President after the 2026 Students' Union Election conducted through the University's e-Voting platform.

The official release of the results of the election which was signed by the Chairman of the Students' Union Electoral Committee SEC, Hassan Hassan Babatunde and the Secretary, Ibiwoye Dorcas Ifeoluwa stated that the election commenced at 12:00 A.M. on Thursday, 23rd July 2026 and was concluded at 12:00 P.M. on the same day.

Muhammad Habibullah Gbolahan of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences polled 3,764 votes to emerge president while Azeezah Omowumi Hadi of the Faculty of Agriculture emerged Vice-President, Ilesha Campus.

Laura Omotere Oniha of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology was elected Vice President (Main Campus)

Ayilara Folashade Abibat was returned elected for the post of General Secretary; Olatunji Oladotun Isaac, Assistant General Secretary; Ramat Adunni Ibrahim, Financial Secretary; and Jamiu Ibrahim Tanimola was elected Public Relations Officer.

The other executives are Welfare Director; Kewulere Mustapha Adetayo; Assistant Welfare Director (Ilesha-Baruba Campus), Habiba Musa Idris; Assistant Welfare Director (Main Campus): Salaty Abubakar Olajide; Social Director, Akanbi Samiat Mopelolaoluwa; and Assistant Social Director, Davies Oyinkansola Lateefat.

Ali Muhammad Awodi was elected as the Sports Director and Raji Kehinde Osasola as the Assistant Sports Director

The statement emphasised that the election was conducted in a free, fair, transparent, and credible manner in accordance with the Electoral Guidelines governing the Students' Union Election.
