MCPHERSON UNIVERSITY (MCU) POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES (2026/2027 SESSION)

McPherson University (MCU) officially invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its *Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s (M.Sc./M.B.A.), and Doctoral (Ph.D.)* programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. Programmes are available in both Full-Time and Part-Time modes.

I. COMPUTER SCIENCE PROGRAMMES

*A. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)*

• Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in any related discipline or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science from a recognized institution.

*B. Master of Science (M.Sc.)*

• Academic Requirements: B.Sc. in Computer Science with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
• Alternative Entry: * B.Sc. (Third Class) in Computer Science/related discipline PLUS a PGD in Computer Science.
• HND in Computer Science/related discipline PLUS a PGD in Computer Science.
• Mandatory Requirement: Evidence of completion, exemption, or exclusion from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

*C. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)*

• Prerequisites: Must meet all M.Sc. admission requirements.
• Academic Standing: M.Sc. in Computer Science with a minimum weighted average of 60% from McPherson University or any approved institution.
• M.Phil Transfer: Exceptional M.Phil candidates may be transferred to the Ph.D. track after the third semester upon departmental recommendation.
• Mandatory Requirement: NYSC completion, exemption, or exclusion certificate.

II. MANAGEMENT & SOCIAL SCIENCES

*A. Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.)*

• O’Level: Five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics.
• Direct Entry: B.Sc./B.A. (Minimum Second Class Lower) in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, Insurance, Marketing, or Business Administration.
• HND Candidates: HND holders must possess a PGD OR relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, ANAN, ACIT, etc.).
• Other Disciplines: Degree holders in non-management fields with relevant industrial experience are eligible to apply.
• Additional Info: Post-qualification experience is an advantage. Foreign applicants must demonstrate English proficiency.
• Mandatory Requirement: NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

*B. Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Accounting*

• O’Level: Five credit passes including English, Mathematics, and Economics/Commerce/Accounting.
• Requirements: B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or Economics (Minimum Second Class Lower) from a recognized university.
• Mandatory Requirement: NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
