REDEEMER’S UNIVERSITY ACHIEVES NUC ACCREDITATION MILESTONE

The Management of Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, is proud to announce an impressive performance in the latest National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation exercise.

The results, following the October/November 2025 nationwide evaluation, were officially conveyed to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, by the NUC. This outcome underscores the university's consistent investment in faculty development and state-of-the-art academic infrastructure.

I. FULLY ACCREDITED PROGRAMMES (2026–2031)

The following programmes met and exceeded the NUC’s statutory minimum academic standards and are now granted Full Accreditation for a period of five (5) years:

Basic Medical Sciences

• Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, and Physiotherapy.
  * (Note: Public Health was granted Interim Status).

Computing & Digital Technology

• Cyber Security and Information Technology.

Science & Management Sciences

• Statistics and Data Science, Industrial Mathematics and Computer Science, Environmental Management and Toxicology.
• Actuarial Science, Marketing, and Public Administration.

Social Sciences & Humanities

• Psychology, Social Work, English, and Philosophy.

Built Environment

• Building Technology and Urban and Regional Planning.

II. LEADERSHIP REFLECTIONS

Vice-Chancellor Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele described the achievement as a reaffirmation of the university's mission to deliver globally competitive education.

The NUC’s report validates that these programmes have met rigorous standards regarding curriculum delivery, staffing, and facility quality.

• Continuous Improvement: While the majority earned full status, the university is already moving to upgrade the Public Health programme from interim to full status before the next evaluation cycle.
