While the standard registration window has officially closed, the Office of the Bursar has announced a final grace period for students who have yet to finalize their academic and financial records. This concession is designed to allow students to maintain their status for the session, though it carries a strict cumulative financial penalty.
Cumulative Late Registration Fee Structure
Unlike a one-time flat fee, the university has implemented a daily penalty system to encourage immediate compliance. Effective from Monday, 2nd February 2026, a late registration fee of One Thousand Naira (₦1,000.00) is charged for every single day a student remains unregistered.
The financial implications of this policy are significant. The daily fee will continue to accumulate until the very moment the registration process is fully completed and validated on the university portal. This means that a delay of five days results in a ₦5,000 penalty, while a ten-day delay reaches ₦10,000, in addition to the standard school fees.

The management has outlined rigorous conditions to ensure the integrity of the registration process during this grace period. Students must adhere to the following mandates:
Approved Payment Channels Only All payments, including the daily accumulated late fees, must be made strictly through the university's approved payment channels. This typically involves the official university portal or designated partner banks. Students are warned that payments made to unauthorized individuals or through unverified platforms will not be recognized, and their registration will remain "invalid" in the eyes of the Bursary.
Risk of Sanctions The university has made it clear that this grace period is not indefinite. Students who fail to register within this window face severe academic sanctions. These include being officially barred from attending lectures, being excluded from departmental activities, and ultimately being denied access to the upcoming semester examinations.

Affected students are urged to treat this matter with the utmost urgency. To stop the daily accumulation of the ₦1,000 penalty, students should immediately log into the university registration portal, calculate the total penalty due from February 2nd to the current date, and proceed with the payment.
Once the financial obligation is met, students must ensure they complete the course registration segment of the portal. The registration is only considered "fully completed" when the student is able to print the official Course Registration Form (CRF) for the 2025/2026 session.
