ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY (ABSU): APPROVED FIRST SEMESTER EXAMINATION TIMETABLE (2025/2026)
The Management of Abia State University (ABSU) and the University Time Table Committee have officially released the approved timetable for the First Semester Examinations of the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
To ensure a "smooth, hitch-free, serene, and orderly" exercise, all students and staff are required to strictly adhere to the following conduct guidelines and venue allocations.
I. EXAMINATION SCHEDULE & TIME SLOTS
Examinations are categorized into three distinct sessions daily. Students are advised to arrive at least 45 minutes before their scheduled slot for screening.
- Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Afternoon Session: 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Evening Session: 4:00 PM (Prompt)
II. CONDUCT OF EXAMINATIONS
The university has adopted a Departmental Basis model for the administration of this session’s exams:
- Location: All students must remain in their Home Departments for examinations.
- Exceptions: Students in the Faculty of Education, Agriculture & Food Science (Main Campus), and Library Science will join their respective Host Departments.
- Invigilation: Departmental Lecturers will serve as primary invigilators. For inter-departmental courses, invigilators are required to collect papers 30 minutes before the start time and return scripts within 30 minutes of conclusion.
III. VENUE ALLOCATIONS BY FACULTY

| Business Administration | Business Block and ETF Building. |
| Health Sciences & Basic Medicine | Medical and Optometry Blocks. |
| Humanities & Social Sciences | Faculty Blocks, Direct Labour Halls, Lecture West, and Cafeteria. |

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR STUDENTS
- Identity: Ensure you have your valid Student ID Card and Examination Clearance available for inspection.
- Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, and unauthorized notes are strictly banned from the examination halls.
- Punctuality: Failure to arrive at your department 30 minutes before the paper starts may result in disqualification.
