19TH MATRICULATION CEREMONY
The Ag. Provost, Dr. Umar A. Umar, on behalf of the Academic Board and the entire College community, cordially invites the general public, parents, guardians, and well-wishers to the 19th Matriculation Ceremony of the Federal College of Horticulture, Dadin Kowa (FCHDK).
This formal ceremony marks the official induction of the 2025/2026 academic session intake into the various National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes of the institution.
I. EVENT SCHEDULE
To ensure a seamless and organized ceremony, guests and matriculating students are requested to adhere to the following timeline:
- Date: Saturday, 2nd May 2026
- Time: 10:00 AM Prompt
- Venue: College Premises, Dadin Kowa, Gombe State
II. DIRECTIVE TO MATRICULATING STUDENTS
All newly admitted students are required to complete the following preparations prior to the ceremony:
- Academic Gowns: Matriculating students should visit their respective departments or the College Store to collect their academic gowns upon presentation of the required receipt.
- Procession: Students must be fully dressed in their academic regalia and ready for the procession by 9:00 AM.
- Oath-Taking: Participation in the matriculation oath is mandatory. Only students who participate in this exercise and sign the Matriculation Register will be formally recognized as bona fide students of the College.
III. NOTICE TO GUESTS AND PARENTS
- Parking: Ample parking space is provided within the College premises. Please follow the directions of the security personnel.
- Seating: Guests are encouraged to arrive early and be seated by 9:30 AM to avoid disruption of the academic procession.
