The Management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) wishes to inform all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) regarding a specific adjustment to the 2026 Batch 'A' Orientation Exercise schedule. While the national exercise begins this week, PCMs deployed to Enugu and Osun States are requested to take note of the following revised dates.
I. REVISED SCHEDULE FOR ENUGU AND OSUN STATES
Due to ongoing extensive renovations being carried out by the respective State Governments to improve camp facilities, the orientation dates for these two states have been shifted:
- Commencement Date: Tuesday, 28th April 2026
- Closing Date: Monday, 18th May 2026
Note: This schedule begins exactly one week after the commencement in other locations.
II. NATIONAL SCHEDULE (OTHER 34 STATES & FCT)
For the avoidance of doubt, the Orientation Exercise for all other states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) remains unchanged:
- Commencement Date: Wednesday, 22nd April 2026
- Closing Date: Tuesday, 12th May 2026
III. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR PCMs
To ensure a smooth mobilization process and full compliance, affected PCMs should adhere to the following:
- Call-up Letters: PCMs deployed to Enugu and Osun should re-print or check their dashboards to ensure they are guided by the correct reporting dates.
- Travel Planning: You are advised to plan your journey to arrive at the permanent orientation camps on the first day of the adjusted schedule (April 28).
- Documentation: Ensure all original credentials, medical fitness certificates, and photocopies are organized and ready for the registration process at the camp.
CONCLUSION: COMMITMENT TO CORPS WELFARE
The NYSC Management regrets any inconvenience caused by this slight adjustment, which is intended to ensure that PCMs in Enugu and Osun are hosted in a conducive and safe environment. We wish all Prospective Corps Members a safe and hitch-free journey to their respective states of deployment.
