College of Education, Akwanga Announces 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony

The management of College of Education, Akwanga has officially announced the schedule for the 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony for newly admitted students of the institution.

According to the announcement issued to staff and students, the matriculation ceremony will serve as the formal induction of newly admitted NCE I students into the college community. The event will take place after the completion of the orientation programme organized for the new students.

Matriculation ceremonies are important academic traditions in tertiary institutions, marking the official admission of new students and their acceptance of the rules and responsibilities of the institution.

Orientation Programme for New Students

As part of preparations for the matriculation ceremony, the college has scheduled an orientation programme for the newly admitted students. The orientation exercise is designed to introduce students to the structure of the institution, academic regulations, and the services available to support their learning.

The orientation programme will take place as follows:

Matriculation Ceremony Details

  • Venue: Convocation Square, College of Education, Akwanga, Nasarawa State, Nigeria

The ceremony will officially welcome the newly admitted NCE I students into the academic community of the college.

Collection of Academic Gowns

All matriculating students are required to wear academic gowns during the ceremony. The management has therefore instructed all admitted NCE I students to collect their gowns from the Office of the Dean of Students’ Affairs.

The gown collection will take place within the following period:

  • Wednesday, March 11, 2026

Students are advised to collect their gowns within this timeframe to ensure that they are fully prepared for the matriculation ceremony.
