The management of Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences (FUTES) has announced adjustments to its academic calendar in anticipation of the upcoming Ramadan Eid and Easter public holidays.
The directive was issued by the Registrar of the university, Oluwole Olalere Dada, who explained that the changes were made to ensure that academic activities continue smoothly despite the expected holiday interruptions.
According to the revised schedule released by the university management, End of Lectures for the first semester will now take place on Thursday, April 2, 2026. Following this, the Revision Period will begin on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, allowing students adequate time to prepare for their examinations.
The university also announced that the First Semester Examinations will commence on Monday, April 13, 2026.
In addition, the university highlighted several dates expected to be declared as public holidays by the government. The anticipated Ramadan Eid holidays are scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2026, and Monday, March 23, 2026. Similarly, the expected Easter Break will fall on Friday, April 3, 2026, and Monday, April 6, 2026.
The management of Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences advised both lecturers and students to take note of the revised academic schedule and adjust their lecture plans and study preparations accordingly to ensure adequate readiness for the upcoming examinations.
