GOMSU APPROVES PROMOTION OF NEW PROFESSORS AND READER
The Governing Council of Gombe State University (GSU) has officially announced the promotion of several academic staff members to the ranks of Professor and Reader.
According to a Special Bulletin (Volume 002 No. 009) issued by the institution on Monday, 29th June, 2026, the promotions followed favourable external assessment reports.
The Council approved the elevation of five (5) Readers to the rank of Professor and one (1) Senior Lecturer to the rank of Reader. However, the official list released by the University contains the names of six newly promoted Professors.
All promotions take effect retroactively from 1st October, 2025.
The announcement was signed by the University's Public Relations Officer.
