The Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences (FPAS) of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology has officially announced its 11th Faculty Lecture Series scheduled to hold in June 2026.
The academic event is expected to bring together scholars, researchers, students, professionals, and stakeholders from different scientific disciplines for intellectual discussions centered on geophysics, natural resource exploration, and sustainable national development.
Theme of the Lecture
The lecture is titled:
“Imaging the Subsurface Earth: The Strategic Role of Geophysics in Prospect Evaluation of Natural Resources and Sustainable National Development”
The presentation will be delivered by Professor Oyelowo Gabriel Bayowa, a distinguished Professor of Applied Geophysics from the Department of Earth Sciences, LAUTECH.
According to the organizers, the lecture will explore the critical importance of geophysics in understanding underground structures, evaluating mineral and energy resources, environmental management, and supporting sustainable economic growth.
