STARS MARITIME ACADEMY: 2025/2026 MERCHANT NAVY ADMISSIONS

Stars Maritime Academy, a premier Merchant Navy institution, is officially inviting applications for its National Diploma (ND), STCW, and ISPS programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. This call is dedicated to the next generation of seafarers, mariners, and merchant vessel captains ready to lead in the global maritime industry.

I. NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) PROGRAMMES

The academy offers a two-year, intensive National Diploma designed to meet international maritime standards in the following fields:

• Nautical Science: Training for prospective deck officers and captains.
• Marine Engineering: Focused on ship propulsion and mechanical systems.
• Maritime Transport & Business Studies: For logistics and port management professionals.
• Computer Science: Integrating technology with maritime operations.
• Business Administration: Focused on corporate maritime structures.

II. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for the 2025/2026 intake, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

• Academic: A minimum of five (5) credits in WAEC/GCE/NECO or NABTEB. This must include English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects, obtained in not more than two sittings.
• JAMB Status: The Academy accepts candidates both with and without JAMB. For those with JAMB, the minimum cut-off mark is 100.
• Age & Nationality: Applicants must be over 16 years of age and must be Nigerian by birth.
