UNICAL SUPPLEMENTARY EXAMINATIONS – 2025/2026 SESSION

The Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has officially called for applications from eligible students for the upcoming supplementary examinations. This exercise covers the First Semester of the 2025/2026 academic session and the Second Semester of the 2024/2025 session (Stream B).

KEY DATES AND DEADLINES

To ensure proper administrative processing, all concerned students must adhere to the following timeline:

• Application Deadline: April 30, 2026
• Examination Commencement: May 11, 2026

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

According to the memo signed by DVC (Academic) Ekaette Enang, students may apply for the supplementary exams if they fall under any of the following categories:

• Medical Grounds: Students who experienced ill health during the original exam period. A medical report endorsed by the Director of Health Services is mandatory.
• Official Representation: Students who were absent because they represented the University at official external events.
• Bereavement: Cases involving the loss of a first-degree family member during the examination window.
• Registration Evidence: Students who can provide clear evidence of proper course registration for the session but missed exams due to documented technical or administrative issues.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Eligible students are required to submit their formal applications directly to the Office of the DVC (Academic). All applications must be submitted on or before the April 30 deadline to be considered for the May schedule.

Faculties and departments have been directed to ensure the wide circulation of this notice across all student platforms and physical notice boards to ensure no eligible candidate is left out.

IMPORTANT ADVISORY

University authorities have emphasized that strict adherence to the stated requirements is necessary. Failure to provide the required supporting documents (such as endorsed medical reports or registration slips) or missing the submission deadline will lead to automatic disqualification.
